Penetration grade bitumen
A relatively softer consistency compared with harder grades. It provides flexibility and resistance to cracking, making it suitable for road construction applications in various climatic conditions.
Main applications
How it is used: Heated and mixed with mineral aggregates such as stone chips, sand, and filler materials to produce hot mix asphalt. The asphalt mixture is then transported and compacted on prepared road surfaces to create durable pavement layers.
Penetration grade bitumen
One of the most widely used paving-grade bitumen products worldwide. It provides an excellent balance between hardness, flexibility, and durability, making it suitable for high-performance road surfaces.
Main applications
How it is used: Heated and blended with aggregates to produce asphalt concrete. The mixture is laid on road surfaces using paving equipment and compacted to form a strong, weather-resistant pavement structure.
Cationic slow setting
A slow-setting cationic bitumen emulsion produced by combining bitumen, water, and emulsifying agents. It allows sufficient working time before breaking and bonding with aggregates.
Main applications
How it is used: Sprayed directly onto prepared road surfaces using specialised spraying equipment. It improves adhesion between pavement layers and helps restore aged asphalt surfaces by sealing cracks and preventing moisture penetration.
Cationic rapid setting
A rapid-setting cationic bitumen emulsion designed for applications requiring fast bonding and curing. It provides strong adhesion between bitumen and aggregate materials.
Main applications
How it is used: Sprayed onto the road surface, followed immediately by the application of aggregate chips. The emulsion breaks quickly, allowing the bitumen to bond with the aggregate and create a protective wearing surface.
Cationic rapid setting
A higher-viscosity rapid-setting bitumen emulsion designed for heavy-duty surface treatment applications. It provides improved coating and durability for demanding road conditions.
Main applications
How it is used: Applied by spraying onto the pavement surface and covered with selected aggregate materials. After curing, it forms a durable surface layer that improves skid resistance and protects the pavement from water damage.
Medium curing cutback
A medium-curing cutback bitumen produced by blending bitumen with petroleum solvents. It is mainly used as a prime coat material before asphalt layers are applied.
Main applications
How it is used: Sprayed onto a prepared granular base layer. It penetrates into the surface, binds loose particles, and improves the connection between the base layer and the asphalt pavement placed above.
Medium curing cutback
A medium-curing cutback bitumen with higher viscosity compared with MC-30. It provides stronger binding properties and is suitable for various maintenance and construction applications.
Main applications
How it is used: Mixed with aggregates to produce cold mix asphalt or applied as a surface treatment material. It provides effective binding and improves the durability of repaired pavement areas.
